NYC Marathon 2025

This year K2MFF members helped provide emergency communications for Mile 23 and 24 of the New York City Marathon. NJIT alumni included:
- Peter Bisbal KB2KAY
- Darshan Desai N2WXP
- Price Etienne N2SMS
- Jonpierre Grajales KD2OJR
- Evan Markowitz KD2IZW
- Jason Odoom KD2MYE
- Alex Parreiras N2PAR
- Austin Pencinger K2FO
- Matt Redding KC2SEK
- Jason Sweeney WX2Q
- Pete Teklinski WW2I
- Prema Teklinkski N2KKU
- Ryan Tolboom N2BP
Led by our mile captains, Austin and Pete, FM voice nets were set up at each mile to keep track of leading racers, notify officials of medical situations and public safety hazards, and help keep track of runners that were leaving the race.

With 59,226 finishers and nearly two-million spectators the NYC Marathon is one of the busiest days in NYC. The level of coordination and professionalism between all those involved never ceases to amaze me. Thank you to our mile captains, to EventHams for working so hard to put this together, and to our volunteers. Hopefully we’ll see you on the course again next year!
